It's always a race to the end of the week...

I love to throw on a dress and go!!  No matching tops and bottoms.  I added a belt to polish off the look.  Belt and dress from Target.  Shoes by Steve Madden, they are my go-to summer shoe to lengthen my legs.  I've practically been wearing them since they came in the mail and I pulled them out of the box...but today...

Ouch!  With all the running around, a little blister was going to ruin my day...good thing I have my miracle worker...

Look!!  It's even in the top drawer of my desk.  Just rub it ANYWHERE where it's pinching, rubbing or tight.  NEVER have a blister on the red carpet AGAIN...or the grocery...or the pediatrician...or vacation...

What to Wear to Lunch in the Marina

For a 20 Year Anniversary

White shorts and chambray shirt is a stock outfit for summer.

My husband and I went to lunch in the marina for our 20 year anniversary.  White shorts are new from Macy's by Maison Jules.  They are flat front which works for my shape (pleats shorten me).  Chambray shirt, sunglasses, and leopard print belt from Target.  Purse by Salvatore Ferragamo.  Shoes by Steve Madden.

Funny thing...I must like white shorts, chambray shirt, leopard print belt, tan shoe and bag...because I wore the EXACT outfit to the pediatrician two weeks ago.

Honestly, I was feeling 50 and frumpy, so I did not post the outfit of the day.

I just wanted to be comfortable.  I actually like this shirt better.  I think I have about 5.

The new shorts are whiter.  What makes you FEEL comfortable?

Spring Forward

Sometimes just a pop of color is all that is needed...

Spring is in the air, but the weather is still a little chilly, so that means pants and long shirt. Lunch with my bestie deserves pulling out the heels and purse, so a pop of color is in order.

(Old) chambry shirt is from Old Navy and white skinny jeans are from Hollister.  I have to ask them to get the short ones from the back.  I've tried on many, many jeans and found that these fit my silhouette.

Behind the scenes in Hollywood, the Costume Designer will talk about the actor or actess' silhouette.  This just means the outline of the costume of the particular character that the actor or actress is playing.  Find the "silhouette" that best flatters your body and stick to it.  I am short, I have short legs and a short torso with no waist, so skinny jeans, blousey top, high heels is my silhouette.
